A nice looking Carmeli JP with lots of figure. The BEM that we used for this piece has a mineral streak on the one side and we used this piece of wood intentionally. We cut most of our wood from large pieces of lumber and get pieces like this in the shop all the time. Just like burl woods, some of these pieces of wood with the mineral spots in them make the best looking JPs. We get a lot of requests for individual joint protector pieces for shafts. Many of our customers have cues that already have custom sets of JPs and just need one piece for and extra shaft. Or an extra custom JP for a low deflection shaft.
